Van Damme’s main fields of expertise include epidemiology and social medicine. He has authored more than 350 peer-reviewed papers and is on the editorial boards of several scientific journals that focus on the study of vaccines and vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. He has received numerous prestigious awards and is as a highly regarded international expert in his field.
